I think what interests me most reading about this artist call Kaspar is that he’s a beekeeper he’s Frenchman Yérri-Gaspar Hummel, he finds inspiration he says “in the rhythm of daily object and sounds” but especially in honeybees turning his observations of them into dance music this album called “MFD – music for dance”. Bees are such fascinating creatures and of course, Dante knew that in paradise and so he can just open images of heaven as a white rose with angels swarm around him like bees.
So we are joining in the marking of the 700th anniversary of Dante Alighieri’s death on “late junction tonight”. The actual day that he died was the 14th September. So on that’s very night this week it was a great edition of free thinking on BBC radio 3 with look to Dante’s vision if we can go back to that on BBC’s sounds.
